Cameron Smith

Waterfront Director

Cameron relocates from Tampa, Florida, where he served as Waterfront Director at the Tampa Yacht & Country Club, advancing from Head Coach to Sailing Director to Waterfront Director. With 12 years of coaching experience, he has worked with sailors of all ages and competed in collegiate dinghy and offshore sailing with the University of South Florida Sailing Team. He is passionate about safe, well-run, engaging waterfront programs.

Clari Piran

Opti Green Coach

From Buenos Aires, Argentina, Clari has been a professional sailing coach for more than 15 years, specializing in the Optimist class at national and international levels. For the past 10 years she has traveled to the US as Head Coach of various Optimist race teams, coached CERT and LISOT clinics, and served as a USA National Team coach.

Mariano Pellegrino

Opti RWB Coach

Mariano grew up in Buenos Aires and has been coaching since 2005, working with sailors in the Optimist, Cadet, ILCA, 420, and 29er classes. His approach focuses on technical skills plus helping sailors set personal goals and build confidence. He has coached competitive race teams in the US for the past 10 years.

Parker Thran

Laser Coach

Parker is a student at Jacksonville University and member of its nationally ranked sailing team. The 2023 ILCA 6 SAYRA Junior Grand Prix Champion and District 12 runner-up, he has skippered at the Chubb Youth US Sailing Triplehanded Championship and raced Melges 24 national events, including winning the Corinthian Division at Charleston Race Week.

Dante Garcia

C420 Coach

Dante is a Division I sailor at Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a background in ILCA, 420, and 29er racing. He coached juniors at Coconut Grove Sailing Club and Key Biscayne Yacht Club, won the 2023 SAISA Doublehanded District Championship, and competed at the 2022 ILCA 4.7 Worlds in Portugal.
